Known for its family-friendly atmosphere and varied terrain suitable for beginners through more experienced skiers and snowboarders, it offers an approachable setting without the luxury trappings of larger resorts. Many guests appreciate the resort’s focus on accessibility, with wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances, as well as amenities like an onsite bar, restaurant, and restroom facilities.

Snow Ridge is a gem. You guys are so lucky to have access to this locally. Small but mighty. It's a great place to learn or for someone new to the sport to practice. I came here with my girlfriend who has only been snowboarding a few times and she was able to practice and get more comfortable without people crowding her. There was enough terrain and glades for me to entertain myself for a weekend as well. They're having a fantastic snow year so get out there!

This ski resort y very nice. It has its ski rental equipment and a small store to purchase ski merchandise if needed like those nice ski pants to keep snow and the cold away from your body (which I highly recommend). It has an area to purchase food in which is good because time flies when your skiing and then from nowhere you're hungry. I do not know if tickets can be purchased in advance. Wait time is not long. I went on weekday and weekend and for sure on weekends it gets crowded. The only thing that makes it seem that it takes long is when you see everyone outside with there gear and skiing and you are desperate to go and ski as well In addition, they have instructors in the area for thise that never ski before. This is a nice experience if you haven't done it before and you never know if after your first try you'll love it.

Great atmosphere, very approachable and great skiing. Parking was a bit tough but they made it work. Plenty food options near by. Lodging was scarce or very expensive for a single night near the resort. Otherwise a great place to ski and hang out. Jimmy is the best.

Awesome resort, cool but super complex trails. Beware, a black diamond here is nothing like anywhere else, any blue square is a black diamond of anywhere else, trails for the most part are ungroomed in the more complex terrain. Their double black diamonds were basically 12 inches of powder in a huge ravine through trees, it was awesome, but not as you would expect from other locations around. However, their small slope was excelent and well groomed, but you gotta watch for when they do and dont have the trolley, or you will have to hike between the beginer slope and lodge, and/or drive

What a beautiful day to ski! I was impressed by this resort. I didn't feel like making a 2hr+ drive into the Adirondacks to a large ski area, so I went for a shorter drive to Snow Ridge. Not a huge area, but it kept me very busy and entertained with skiing for over 4 hours. I didn't even ski the entire area. I loved the varying difficulty levels, and it wasn't super busy. A great ski area!

Snow Ridge Ski Area is an awesome grassroots hill that’s perfect for family fun. It’s reasonably priced, welcoming, and offers a great mix of terrain for beginners, intermediates, and more experienced skiers and riders. This isn’t a luxury resort—and that’s exactly what makes it special. Snow Ridge has a laid-back, authentic vibe where the focus is on good snow, good people, and having a great time on the mountain without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for a no-frills ski hill that delivers real value and a genuine community feel, Snow Ridge is hard to beat.

Best little ski area in Northern NY State. My cousin and I would drive down from Gouverneuir at least twice a month, to ski here. Lots of fun and after starting a family, we used to go down there often. My Family and I moved to the Seattle area in '84, so it has been a lot of years since we've skied there, but I still have fond memories of Snow Ridge. My daughter became a volunteer ski instructor at Stevens Pass, WA. Stevens has a 1,800 ft. vert drop and 1,500 acres of skiing. and averages over 500 inches of snow annually. It's base elevation is 4,016 feet, right on U.S, Rte-2, over Stevens Pass, 75 miles NE of Seattle. I was a volunteer ski instructor at The Summit at Snoqualmie, 35 miles east of Seattle, right off of I-90 at Snoqualmie Pass. Think Snow Ridge on steroids, because it is stretched across a ridgeline, with 1,990 acres of skiing. The vertical ranges from 765 feet at Summit West, to 1,202 feet at Summit East. Summit Central has a vertical of slightly over 1,000 feet. All three are interconnected, owned by the same company and can be skiied on the same lift ticket. it's "Where Seattle Leans To Ski!", so it gets crowded on weekends. Alpental Resort, is on the other side of I-90, back in its own valley and not for beginners. It's mostly advanced to expert terrain, with a vertical of 2,200 feet. Alpental is owned by the same company as the other three and can be skiied on the same lift ticket. The average snowfall is 435 inches, with the base elevation of 3,012 feet at Summit West. My home ski resort now is Crystal Mountain Resort in Washington State, 59 miles from our front door. Crystal is the largest resort in the state. It encompasses seven mountain peaks, with 3,100 vertical, 3,200 acres of in bounds skiing and another 3,000 acres of back country skiing. The base elevation is at 4,400 feet and it sometimes is open for summer skiing. I have skied there as late as July 11th, up in Green Valley. Average snowfall is 586 inchers and it sits in a box canyon, just outside of Mt. Rainier National Park. On clear days, the views are tremendous.
